After-Birth Abortion: The pro-choice case for infanticide.

After-Birth Abortion: The pro-choice case for infanticide. - Slate Magazine

I am furious after reading this. The people who make up this stuff have either never had kids or are somehow mentally incapacitated, like some people are who can't feel the right sort of feelings for their kids. These people get way too into themselves and being all high and mighty in their "higher learning and education". I am all for higher learning, but not when it gets you so into being "logical" that you forget about the other positive human qualities that should also come naturally, namely courage, sacrifice for those we love, and working hard for the things that are most important to us.

Beware, This Baby Gate Eats Toddlers Hands!

I needed a baby gate to keep my toddler out of the kitchen (stove is low enough for him to reach hot places, unfortunately), so I went to Wal-Mart and bought the Even-Flo Position and Lock Tall Gate. It was just the sort of baby product I like, cheap ($23), functional and easy to use. I happily set it up and it worked great, toddler stayed outside the kitchen while I worked inside it.

Baby News: 89 Kidnapped Infants Rescued

89 kidnapped infants rescued in China

I just read an article in which 89 infants in China were rescued by Chinese police. They had been kidnapped in order to be sold. They also arrested 369 people involved in the two human trafficking rings they discovered. The article didn't say what they were sold for, but it did mention further down how trafficking in women has increased because of the tendency of Chinese parents to abort their girl babies in favor of having a son as they are only allowed one child. This causes a pretty high demand for women once those only sons grow to adulthood and can't find a wife because there aren't any women. So I don't know if these were girl babies taken to be sold, but the article kind of made me think that way.
